A beautiful cottage. Small but nice. Everything you need. Sparkling clean. Even the mattress of the bed can be heated if it is too cold.Wonderful preparation from Carol, a welcome pack of bread, milk, jam, tea, coffee, and the best: a homemade, wonderful cake. THANKS, Carol!!!!!

You feel comfortable, and unfortunately we had to drive home today.

We enjoyed our stay in the Cart House. Carol provided a generous welcome package including a fabulous

homemade sponge cake. A very comfortable space with all the necessary accoutrements. Many interesting local amenities such as Dixter House and The White Dog Inn, both well worth a visit. All in all, a lovely three days away from London, the vry comfortable accommodation making it perfect.

A really lovely place to stay. A very peaceful location,

with lovely countryside and lots of places to visit.

The Cart House is just perfect for 2 people, extremely

well-equipped, tastefully furnished, big comfortable bed and great shower. Carol is a lovely host, friendly and helpful. She met us on arrival and showed us round, and was there when we left. Great attention to detail and so many extras, including eggs from her own hens, and delicious homemade marmalade and cake.

Thank you Carol, we will definitely be back!

We had a wonderful five nights at the Cart House and wouldn’t hesitate to recommend staying there.

Its location, in the pretty village of Northiam, is peaceful and private, surrounded by greenery and nature.

Carol has thought of everything to make the cottage comfortable, homely and welcoming. It was exactly as described. The kitchen is well equipped for cooking

meals and the bed very comfortable. We also loved having use of the little garden and summer house.

There is so much to see and do in the area. We really enjoyed the evening tasting menu at nearby Tillingham Winery and visiting Dixter House and gardens,

just a mile away. We appreciated the lovely home made Victoria sponge, eggs, bread, butter and other provisions Carol provided.

The cottage is situated in a quiet semi rural area ideal for relaxation, close to Rye and ideal for exploring.

Carol was a very welcoming host who provided a wonderful welcome pack. The cottage is very cosy, extremely clean, well equipped with great attention to detail. I would definitely recommend and return again.

Our third visit – and once again it felt like coming home.

Everything is done with such thought. Can’t wait to come

again as there’s plenty to do and this is such a perfect place to stay.  Thank you Carol and Roy.

Our 8th visit to Mill Corner – just as enjoyable as all the others. Loved the spring flowers and blossom, as well as the birdsong. Walked some of the coast path above the White Cliffs of Dover, accompanied by skylarks sining. Enjoyed our trip to Dungeness and Rye harbour for some good birding. Sissinghurst Castle gardens as pretty as ever. What’s not to like?

Another nostalgic visit for us.

We find this cottage perfect in every way.

Two weeks in this lovely place has recharged us.

Thanks you Carol and Roy for your lovely welcome

back to Mill Corner. The Bake House is superb in every way and it has been a joy to be back in this special part of the country. Dixter, Sissinghurst, Pashley Manor and Merriments gardens were all superb. We will be back!

It has been such a treat to stay at The Bake House –

thank you for the most welcome -and wonderfully light- sponge which we enjoyed during our stay. And thank

you for thinking of all the comforts guests need –

we felt thoroughly spoilt! We’ve enjoyed exploring

National Trust properties – Sheffield Park, Sissinghurst

and Smallhythe. Also Great Dixter, Dungeness and Rye. Enjoyed the walk across ancient paths to The White dog

at Ewhurst Green. We hope one day to return and

explore more!
